DIRECTOR GENERAL, MEXICAN INSTITUTE FOR COMPETITIVENESS, IMCO
Dr. Pardinas holds the position of Director General of the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO) and collaborates weekly in the newspaper Reforma. In the academic field, he has been a professor of institutions such as UNAM, ITAM and the London School of Economics.
Juan Pardinas holds a Ph.D. in public policy from the London School of Economics (LSE), a master in economics from Sophia University in Tokyo and a BA in political and social sciences from UNAM.
SOBREMESA WITH GABRIELA MÁRQUEZ COLÍN APPOINTED MINISTER OF ECONOMY GOVERNMENT OF ANDRÉS MANUEL LÓPEZ OBRADOR
Graciela Márquez Colín is a Mexican academic and economist. Previously she was Professor of Economic History at the El Colegio de Mexico in Mexico City. In 2002 she received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in Economic History and was awarded the Gershenkron Prize in 2002 by the Economic History Association.

SOBREMESA WITH ROBERTA JACOBSON
Roberta S. Jacobson was sworn in as the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico on May 5, 2016, and resigned on May 5, 2018, retiring from the State Department at the end of May. Before then, she served as the Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs since March, 2012. She has held various positions in the State Department’s Western Hemisphere Bureau for nearly 30 years. Ms. Jacobson holds a Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (1986) and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.

Dora is an MPP student at the Harris School of Public Policy She has specialized in the application of behavioral insights and Data-Driven Behavioral Interventions as she aims to reduce poverty by reducing the opportunity gap through inclusive economic development. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Management.
LUPITA JIMÉNEZ

Before starting grad school, Lupita worked at the Federal Telecommunications Institute in Mexico. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas, CIDE).
ESTEBAN CASTAÑEDA

Esteban Castañeda is a Mexican MPP 2019 student with almost 7 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and risk management applied to Telecom Regulation, Banking Risk Policy and Insurance Portfolio Valuation. He holds a BS in Actuarial Science and graduated with honors from the Master of Risk Management, both degrees at ITAM.

Yolanda Cantú is a teacher, social and educational activist committed to promote Early Childhood Policy and Children Rights.

Arturo Joachin is an MPP candidate from Puebla, Mexico. He holds a BS in Economics, a BA in Political Science from ITAM and a MS in Applied Economics also from ITAM. As for his professional experience, he worked as advisor to Mexico’s Minister of Finance and later he worked at Mexico’s Infrastructure Development Bank. He’s interested in Macroeconomics and in Public and Private Finance.
